Gods Gift of Healing by Shelby Frederick

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

From the beginning of time, God had a plan for us to live in wholeness. In fact, He gave us that which He created to sustain us in that place (of wholeness). Whenever God spoke, that which was released manifested in the physical. It was a certification, appointment, command and expressed declaration to “be”. In Genesis 1:11-13, there was a birthing that took place in the earth. The grass is a representation of the womb. The herb yielding seed represents the process of conception between male and female seed. The fruit tree represents the full reward which now has the ability to stand and reproduce after its own kind. This is the maturation process of the gift of healing, made manifest in the earth. The tree represents the accomplishment of the process. When a tree reaches this place, it is now ready to execute, govern and accomplish what it has been sent to do. It now “yields” to its part of the process of called healing. Just as there are different species of illnesses, whether they be mental or physical, there are different species of trees that provide healing for the body.

I find it interesting in verse 12 that as the earth responded to the voice of God, every grass, herb yielding seed and tree yielding fruit, instantly produced after the seed that was already inside of it! It didn’t have to think about reproducing. It just was! We too are seed and have the same ability to reproduce healing in our mind, body, soul, and spirit but we must first get an understanding of who we are and what we possess. If the healing seed of God is already inside of us, we must learn the keys needed to access that healing within. And this process begins with our mind. This passage of Scripture describes the process needed in understanding God’s gift of healing and how to manifest it in every area of life. However, we cannot leave out verse 13. There is something powerful that many overlook as it relates the evening and the morning. As our bodies come to the end of the day, it prepares us to enter into the state of rest. It is during this time that we should ease our mind from our daily activities and release any stressors that have attached themselves to us emotionally. This is a very crucial state that we must be cognizant of in the area of healing. As we read further along in verse 13, we see that we need both evening and morning. The significance of the morning is that it is called the break of day. So whatever you have stood in need of has the ability to break forth in healing at the break of day. Just as Jesus Christ died and rose on the third day, there is something significant about this process taking place of the third day of Creation! It speaks to the redemptive plan that God always had for the man. God has given us such a wonderful gift and I believe that this is the time when that which has been hidden is now being revealed by those who will search out the mysteries and bring forth the strategies while creating systems that bypass our governmental structures that keep many dependent on prescriptions that do not heal.

Mind renewal is pivotal for us to walk in wholeness. This is a two-part call to action. One is to discover God’s gift of healing and the second is to renew our minds to walking out that which is already ours. Amen?!
